Resounding success at the 9th World Swimming Championships in Manchester
The 9th FINA 25 m World Swimming Championships, for which AstralPool is an official provider, was an absolute success: 18 world records were set; the highest number of world records in the history of the FINA 25m championships.
The championships also reached another historical milestone in the participation record: 616 athletes, from 116 countries, were present during the 5 days of the championships.
40 World Championship records and 85 continental records have contributed to the huge success obtained by AstralPool at the swimming event: AstralPool installed the two temporary Skypool pools, the competition pool and the warm-up pool, in a record time of just 8 days.
At the 9th World Swimming Championships, there were 25,000 spectators present to see Ryan Lochte and Kirsty Coventry win the trophies for the highest scoring male and female, and the United States team win the trophy for overall performance.
